On this week's Morning Conversation, KXCV-KRNW News Director Jeremy Werner talks to Northwest Associate Provost of Diversity & Inclusion, Dr. Justin Mallett.
Dr. Mallett discusses the ways in which the Office of Diversity & Inclusion will be reaching out to the community to discuss racial issues and offer people opportunities to grow and learn. The Office intends to hold a monthly Diversity Book Club as well as monthly presentations/workshops on implicit bias and microaggressions. Dr. Mallett also hopes to have a Town Hall to discuss issues of race and what Northwest underrepresented students face living in Maryville.
